Health & Wellness
Good health is the foundation of a thriving community. Many rural families face challenges such as limited access to family planning, HIV/AIDS, malnutrition, and poor reproductive health. VURRA works to close these gaps through health advocacy, training, and service delivery.
Our Health Programs Include:
-
HIV/AIDS Awareness & Prevention – community campaigns to reduce stigma and promote testing and treatment.
-
Family Planning Services – in partnership with Joint Medical Stores, we distribute commodities and educate families on reproductive health.
-
Adolescent Health Education – sessions on menstrual hygiene, teenage pregnancy prevention, and responsible decision-making.
-
Primary Health Care Promotion – training households on nutrition, sanitation, and disease prevention.
💡 Impact: Families gain knowledge, confidence, and access to health services, leading to healthier children, fewer teenage pregnancies, and stronger households.
