In many parts of Arua District, families struggle to access even the most basic healthcare services. Issues such as HIV/AIDS, gender-based violence, teenage pregnancy, and lack of family planning resources continue to impact lives.
Since 2017, VURRA has been working hand-in-hand with Joint Medical Stores and local partners to bridge this gap. Through community outreaches, we:
-
Distribute family planning commodities.
-
Educate youth on sexual and reproductive health.
-
Run awareness campaigns on HIV prevention.
-
Empower parents with tools for raising healthy, resilient children.
One parent recently shared: “Before, I did not know how to talk to my teenage daughters about health and relationships. After the VURRA training, I feel confident guiding them, and they trust me more.”
💚 True health starts with knowledge, awareness, and empowerment—not just hospitals.
